CHILDHOOD INFLUENCE #1- MY MOTHER MARILYN WATSON

My absolute best influence in my childhood has to be the wonderful mother that God has perfectly placed for me in my life.  My Mom taught me so many things throughout my life like how to be a hard worker, compassion, gentleness, how to have a servants heart and humility just to name a few.  My relationship with my mother has definitely changed over the years and I now feel honored to call her my friend!  I talk to her almost every day and know that she will show me unconditional love and always be there to support and encourage me.  There have definitely been hard times in my family’s life but my mother has shown me how to never give up and to rely on my faith during these rough patches in life but also the good times as well.  My mother’s favorite quote which still stick with me today is “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”  There have been so many favorite memories over the years from vacations to shopping trips to baking Christmas cookies and apple pies and family day trips. I even won a local pie contest with her winning recipe!  I have definitely most of my personality traits because of my Mom and definitely feel that I am a better person because I know her!

  1. Hi Heather. I enjoyed reading about your mom and the obvious love and affection you have for her. It is such a blessing when God places such wonderful mothers in our lives. He surely knows what He is doing. I am sure you are taking all of the lessons you learned from your mother and are showing them to your children today. You have started to create a wonderful web of support for you kids and they will be blessed, just as you were. I also enjoy your pictures and quotes, they are encouraging!
